    Title: SEND THEM YOUR SOAP!!!

As a soapmaker, I think this is a great organization to support! I just got off the phone with their Executive Director (who was at the airport as we spoke, loading cargo onto a plane bound for Haiti) about the work that they do.

SO -- YOU! YES YOU!!!! I know you've got ancient bars of soap at your house, ones in your guest bathroom that are years old, you know, in that seashell decorative dish? Or what about those boxes of soaps from all those vacations and business trips underneath your sink???? HERE'S A CHANCE TO HELP FOLKS OUT!

A lot of people want to help, but don't have a lot of money right now to help in that manner. This is a way you can, and for only the cost of shipping the soap to Clean The World's office. (Priority boxes are free at the Post-Office, and are a great way to ship things cheaply!)

    Clean The World
    8026 Sunport Drive, Ste 306
    Orlando, FL. 32809

If you'd like to learn more about what their organization does, and what they do with the soap, here ya go:
    http://www.cleantheworld.org/

My soap company, In Granny's Footsteps, has a large box of soaps & soap trimmings/shavings packed up, and ready to ship! :) Even if you only have a bar or two, send it to them! Something we take for granted can make the difference in someone's life.

Changing the world, one bar of soap at the time!

    Title: NEW PRODUCTS BEING TESTED
There are twelve of the finest ladies of P.com testing products for IGF for the next month. I am really excited about both of these products!

This blog is where we can chat about the products and they can share any of their insights as they go through the process of trying out the products. :)

    FACIAL ELIXIR:

This wonderful facial oil is blended by me and contains Olive Squalane, Jojoba infused in Calendula, Meadowfoam Oil, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Macadamia Oil. This Elixir also features the essential oils of Chamomile, Rose Absolute, Geranium, and Palmarosa, with a touch of vitamin E (natural preservative and antioxidant).

    UNDER EYE CREAM:

This cream is made with all-natural yogurt, and nourishing oils of Meadowfoam, Red Raspberry, and Absyssian. The essential oils of Chamomile, Lavender, and Geranium were added in just the right amount. This cream also features a special active ingredient called Eyeliss™. I’m real excited about having a product that features this ingredient as it has been clinically studied and analyzed.

Title: A COOL NEW FEATURE OF IGF SOAPS!

BUT I received something in the mail today that I've been patiently waiting to arrive.... and it's going to bring a new cool feature to IGF soaps.

MY NEW CUSTOM SOAP STAMP! :D

    Isn't it cool?

All my soaps (except for the Spa Salt Bars, and they just get too hard to stamp) will be stamped from here on out. This is yet another way to set IGF products apart from others. It's adds a distinctive style, and a finished artisan look.

    Hope you like it!

Title: New things are coming to IGF!

Gearing up for the fall/winter season, and have quite a few new things heading this way.

    NEW FRAGRANCES:

~Frosted Berries: The base of this soap is Yuzu, which is a Japanese Grapefruit, and it has a very strong and bright fragrance. Unlike regular grapefruit, Yuzu is a hybrid of grapefruit and mandarin, so it's got additional perfume notes. But not just mandarin or tangerine, it's got a grapefruit blossom top note. This soap will feature cranberry seeds too! Lovely!

~ Twisted Clean: This fragrance is awesome, different, and yes, a little "twisted"! Top notes of grapefruit and lime, with middle notes of fresh cucumber, guava, and passionfruit, and base notes of wasabi, cilantro, and fern. The wasabi gives you a kick in there that makes this such a different aroma. It's described as a very fresh and clean green scent with a touch of freshly picked herbs topped a slight citrus twist.

~ Persephone (Pomegranate): Something I always looked forward to being "in season" in the grocery store growing up were pomegranates. I loved them! I can recall popping those gem-like seeds in my mouth... juicy.... sweet... tart. The pomegranate is also an ancient fruit with a rich history in myth, symbol, art, medicine and religion. This soap will have that sweet tart aroma, while still be luxurious and wonderful for your skin.

~ Goat's Tea: This will be a goat's milk soap fragranced with the spicy aroma of Chai Tea. This is a very complex scent which begins with top notes of spicy cinnamon bark and nutmeg; followed with a body of fresh green tea; finished off with the aroma of creamy milk.

~ Island Coconut: This is a sweet and fruity tropical coconut.... will remind you of those days on the beach, suntan lotion on, radio playing.... cold drink nearby. Always a classic scent! This soap will also not only feature coconut oil, and coconut butter, but will also contain coconut milk!

~Suds for Studs: An addition to my soaps made especially for the man in your life! Top notes of Mysore sandalwood, ambergris, violet leaves, French verbena and Florentine iris.... just a hint of black pepper as a bottom note. The aroma is a wonderfully fresh, green scent that has a soft Oakmoss background. It'll either be a black soap, or have a black swirl stemming from White Willow charcoal. Might have a green from French Green Clay.

~Granny's Pine Tar: I will be making it soon with no other additives than the pure Pine Tar. No essential oils, to help those with extra sensitive skin!

~..... and who knows what else I'll come up with when I get to playing around with essential oils, herbs, clays, spices, seeds, and more! I'd like to bring back a chamomile/calendula soap, and do it in a Goat's milk!

~ I'm also adding two new lip-smacking lip balm flavors: Pina Colada, and Juicy Pineapple.

LOTIONS/BALMS/BUTTERS -- I'm going to have a Body Butter, a new Goat's Milk Lotion, and will be featuring my Dry Patch Skin Balm in convenient tubes for easy application!

BATH-SALTS: I continue to make bath-salts to order, your choice of fragrance or added botanicals -- either non bubbling and bubbling. They feature both Dead Sea Salts, as well as Mediterranean Spa Salts. This is a combination that your body will thank you for! I have GORGEOUS frosted glass jars you can purchase your salts in if you choose, complete with a wooden scoop. You have the option of receiving the bath-salts in a bag as well. Will have prices worked up shortly for the website.

So, stay tuned! Lots of fun stuff bubbling my way. :) Don't forget that I ship anywhere, priority boxes.

Title: IGF has been BLOGGED! Cool-Beans!
IGF's soaps were recently featured in a fellow artist/crafter's blog, and I couldn't be more flattered, or excited about that. This is an IGF first!

Read Shai's Creations July 4th blog:
    http://mamashaiscreations.blogspot.com/

I believe in supporting fellow crafters and artisans. I love the art.craft community, having come out of the fine arts community education wise. It's a lot of fun to chat and share ideas, and to see what other amazing things creative folks are coming up with. Shai makes all sorts of things, from the cutest bows to tutu dresses that lil'girls will adore! I have a feeling that she could sew up and make about anything you could imagine, and it would have that unique flair, of that you can bet! Check her out.

Title: New Testimonial! Granny's Pine Tar Soap
I just received another testimonial about my Granny's Pine Tar Soap, and I couldn't be more pleased. It really means a lot to me when people benefit from my products.

I thought I'd share it here as well as on my website:

"I developed rosacea after I had shingles this past year and it totally changed my complexion. The shingles were on the left side of my face and this area was the most affected by the rosacea. My dermatologist gave me a couple medicines and they helped a little bit but I decided to try your Pine Tar Soap and it was the best thing I ever did! It cleared it up almost instantly.

I can honestly say that I can go without makeup as long as I wash with that soap. Something about it gives my skin the right amount of moisture and brings out the "good" color in my face. I don't even need to use the expensive topical medicine anymore! I even find myself washing my face more because it makes my skin feel so much better.

My daughter was having a lot of problems with her acne and I let her use the Pine Tar Soap and it has helped her so much as well. So much so that she stole my other bar! Thank you for giving my skin back and more!"

    ~ Christy Balcombe. Douglasville, GA

I'll be in production next week of certain scents (Granny's Pine Tar included!), and placing an order otherwise for supplies. :)

Hopefully we'll be building our house soon! Hoping that the place in Hiram will sell, so we can get started. With the market a little slower than we like, it is just taking time. Put the good mojo towards the sell of the home, and if you know anyone that wants a sweet-sweet place in the heart of Hiram, boy, do I know the property for you!

Hope you're enjoying your summer, having fun with the family, and remembering to give thanks for all your blessings!

    My Heart,

    Becca

    Title: STORE IS OPEN!
I'm opening back up IGF's online store. No, we're not in our new house yet, and that means I'm not back in my studio. However, I have stock, and you need soap! :D

I'm looking forward to being able to bring you all sorts of new things once we're in the new home/studio. I've been using these months to do massive research and testing, and I'm really excited about things to come.

Stay tuned, and drop me a line sometime, ya' hear?!

Title: We're moving ahead! Slowly, but surely

    Hello All!

We've been working with a phenomenal architect in TN on our passive solar house plans. And we're almost done with our house plans - finalizing them now! He'll then be working on the plans for my parent's home, which will be built adjacent to ours.

I'm itching to make soap -- so I've got to figure out a way to make that happen soon. There is a large craft show coming up in March, "SWAMPFEST", that I'll have a both at. That will be fun. They expect 10-15,000 folks!

I'm spending my time right now formulating new products, contemplating various packaging changes, and looking at new fragrances to carry.

I've also been spending time developing my photography more. I am hopeful that I'll be able to carry small prints, and possibly notecards, featuring S. GA. scenes upon them in the near future. If you'd like to view some of my work, I have a Flickr site. Click here to visit: Thru Becca's Eyes.

Thanks for your continued support! Don't forget about me!!! I'm not "gone", just put on hold for a few. ;)

    Blessings!

    Becca

    Title: MOVED!
We have finally completed the move to S. Georgia! We're really excited about being in the land of the "Trembling Earth." Now, the next step is to start building our new home, and my new soap studio too. This is an exciting time for us, as well as stressful and a bit overwhelming.

I give you my word that the soonest I can have a studio up and running, I will!

Thank you all for your continued support. I look forward to bringing new products to you and your family very soon!

    Blessings,

    Becca

    Shhh! IGF's got a secret!

My soaps are going to be featured very soon as part of the "Cabin Life" Living History Program at the historic Pickett's Mill State Park!

I'm so very excited to be asked to have my soaps featured as part of this hands-on educational program.

A brief description about this program: "The Cabin Life program takes place in an 1850's cabin located off the White Trail (loop). The program is oriented towards the lifestyles of the civilians who once lived during the 1850's on what is now Pickett's Mill Battlefield State Historic Site. The program portrays the cooking, sewing, gardening, and cleaning styles of the 1850's. Candle making, livestock raising, and other aspects of the 1850's lifestyle are also portrayed."

    My Granny would be proud.

    Title: Fisherman Soap!
I have a batch of Fisherman Soap on the drying rack. It will be offered for sale soon via my hubby's sportsman website. :)

If you like the smell of licorice, you'll like this soap. It's made with Anise EO which not only covers human scent, but has been used by fisherman for a long time to attract FISH. :D Some even use this to wash hooks with! :) I also added a little bit of ground oatmeal to it for a little 'scrubby' action for hands. Perfect to carry in the tackle box, or leave on your boat.

    More info soon!

    Title: We're finally in the
IGF has finally moved completely into our new soap studio, aka "The Soap Barn." I love it! I have so much more room, more storage, and it's just really a fun place to go and hang out with my family. Each one of us has our own area in the barn itself, and it makes for a "hot spot" of activity.

Here are a few inside pics:

I made six batches of soap this weekend,... and they are all cut and on the drying racks! Look for a few new scents even:

Red Currant -- yummy! and Bay Rum for my male customers! Also should have my new Spa-Salt-Bar ready soon too! What a way to make your skin soft and polished feeling.

Thanks for all of your support! I have the best customers in the world.
